Thanks for the clarification Jeff. It looked as if everything would work with a 32 bit development environment, so it is good to get some clarification from the source!

Hi Jason,
I just wanted to confirm that the SDK will work with VS 2010 x86 (32-bit). The only reason Citrix did not declare support was because it was not tested. The SDK was designed to support both 32 and 64-bit. The only problem I can think of is having to change the paths of the relative references to Interop.Citrixmobility.dll for "Program Files" versus "Program Files (x86)".
Keep up the good work. You have done an excellent job documenting how to get started with the SDK.
Thanks,
Jeff Muir

From my testing and this link (http://dbaspot.com/ms-sqlserver/231135-unable-connect-sql-server-2005-using-encrypt-connection-opti.html) I have reason to believe that the 'Use encryption'-option in the database connection properties has nothing to do with IMA-encryption.

I've tried to use your examples but I get an object cast error.

Value of type 'Citrix.XenApp.Commands.XAApplication' cannot be converted to 'System.Management.Automation.PSObject'

Any ideas?

Jason,

Great start to explaining how to get the most out of this feature. I will definitely read the entire series and try to mirror this in our environment to make sure everyone is accountable for changes without a proper change management process.
